2012-06 Kara's Graduation

 Kara graduated from Eagan High School on June 2, 2012.  It was beautiful day, so the ceremony was held at the Eagan Stadium, allowing open attendance.  Kara was well represented in the audience with aunts, uncles, cousins and grand mothers.

After the ceremony were photos with classmates and long goodbyes, as they transition from seeing their friends everyday, to seeing them occasionally as they all move forward and take the next step in their lives

We went to dinner at the Roasted Pear after the ceremony, and then Kara returned to the school later that Saturday evening for the all night lock-in party.  Somehow, she kept herself going and headed down to Drake University at 7:00 on Sunday morning with her future roommate for orientation and class selection.

2012-06 Regional Golf Finals

Kara and the Eagan wildcats girls golf team played in the regional semi-finals at Phalen golf course and the regional finals at Bunker Hills.  Eagan ended up in second place in the region, so did not get to advance to state, but it was great finish to her golf career.  She finished the 18th hole in memorable fashion after ending up in a fairway bunker, she hit to within about 25 feet of the pin and then sank a long curving putt, which helped keep Eagan alone in second place.  Kara was named to the all conference honorable mention team.  We are very happy for Kara and skills she developed and the improvements she made over the last 4 years on the golf team.
